Bootrec /rebuildbcdHere’s where I run into the problem. It never finds a Windows installation and always returns 0.My configuration looks something like this.Volume ### Ltr Label Fs Type Size Status InfoVolume 0.

Partition 1000MB HealthyVolume 1. C Windows8OS NTFS Partition 916GB. HealthyVolume 2 RAW. HealthyVolume 3 3.

HiddenVolume 4. HealthyVolume 5.

HiddenI’ve figured out Volume 1 is obviously my Windows Partition. Volume 4 is my USB Windows recovery drive I’m using. And I believe Volume 3 is my boot volume. Volume 2 or 5 must be the OEM recovery partitions which should actually be Windows 8 which is what originally came on this laptop. I’ve since upgraded to Windows 10 so they would technically be useless.I do know that my boot Volume is listed as hidden but I don’t think that makes any difference as I think it’s supposed to be that way.My original question is, what can I do about bootrec /rebuildbcd always returning 0 Windows installations found? I have looked at the Windows folder on the C: drive and everything appears to be there and in order as far as I can tell but I’m far from an expert.Any ideas?Ive also tried tried to access my backup registry stored in the registry backup folder but they all had a zero file size so that was a bust.

Thankfully, the actual registry files have actual file sizes so they look to be okay as far as i can tell. Thanks in advance.Tom.:). bootrec scanos returns 0,. bootrec /rebuildbcd windows 10,. bootrec /scanos 0 installations,. bootrec commands,. bootrec /rebuildbcd 0 installations,.
